Foraging provides the mental and physical stimulation parrots need to stay healthy.  Not surprisingly, when a parrot is presented with a bowl full of food for the taking, and a foraging toy which must be explored to obtain a meal, most birds will ignore the bowl, and instead hurry over to investigate the toy!  The foraging toy provides the parrot with an opportunity of a reward  for his or her curiosity.  Let's do our birds a favor and provide them with plenty of foraging toys--and let's throw the bowl!
