Commemorative Panels
Not many stamp collectors know about US commemorative panels. They have been issued by the USPS since the early 70s. Typically these panels have at least two engraved scenes related to the stamp plus a column of information about the subject matter. Also, the top and bottom have the same logo and copyright information as seen. The stamps are mounted in clear mounts in a block of four format. The title is usually the same font size as this example. An example is shown below. They are a fun area of collecting and is especially great for topical collectors.
