I've found that Success in selling Comics on eBay is using a free service like Auctiva that let's you add up to 16 photos for no extra charge.  People really want to SEE what they are bidding on because there can be a lot of misunderstanding in just the description.  Also keep your shipping prices to the bare minimum.  (Everyone is on to that old trick of pricing an item at $.01 and then charging $5 shipping or some other ridiculous amount.)  And last but not least, be sure to pay the extra money to add the Gallery Photo.
