The Gamecocks

When you think College Football you think Steve Spurrier.  When you think Steve Spurrier you think The Gamecocks!  Well maybe?  Steve Spurrier came to The South Carolina Gamecocks after coaching The Washington Redskins!  Before Spurrier, we had Lou!  Can anyone break this Chicken Curse?  Don't get me wrong, I love The Gamecocks, especially when they win.  But lately the winning is becoming less and less and that is very depressing!!!!  You would think that a team that started the season out so strong would continue to progress...well what is wrong with this picture?  Two more games left...can they pull off two wins???  Well,  the next two games are against The Florida Gators,  and Clemson!  Both of those teams have been playing very well!  I am hoping The Gamecocks can pull off these two wins and end of with a winning season!  Cross your fingers!

To tell you the truth, I hated watching Football Games growing up as a child in Virginia.  I had never heard of The Gamecocks!  I really do not know what it is, but since being in South Carolina now for over 20 years, it's just a part of life here.  It's like fresh air when Football season starts!  It's a big Get-Together with family and friends!   It's the southern thing to do!  Football is actually fun to watch - especially after you learn about the game!  Which I had to do!!!!

So it doesn't matter what team you pull for, you have to agree these kids are playing their hearts out!  Support your favorite College and cheer them on!!!  One of these days one of these kids might be your doctor, lawyer, teacher or your favorite NFL Player!  It can happen!  

Sports build character!!! 

If you have never been to a College Football Game - you might just want to take your family and friends to one - maybe even a South Carolina Gamecock Game and have a great time!!!

So to all the Gamecock haters....our time will come....maybe sooner than later....we will see!!!!  :)  You know that old saying?  Good things come to those who wait!!!!  Well, we have waited......Good things ARE to come!!!

So win or lose and we all like to WIN I would like to say....
