As a mere Muggle, I have been buying, selling and collecting worldwide for many years and along the way have learned that all items are considered rare!  But some are more rare than others.

The high end collectables are, Hallmark, Warner Bros., Enesco, Noble and Fossil.  I have probably left some out but then I am a Muggle.

Warner Bros. produced some very high quality items that are increasing each year.  Their bookends are fantastic, rich in detail, colorful and if you still have the box with foam inserts they will always be well protected.

The Warner Bros., Bertie Botts cookie jar has been come the high price ticket item of the season.  I have to admit three have been posted in the past month but you will have to withdraw between $200 to $300 from Gringotts bank before you even have a hope of wining this item!

Always collectable, always popular are the Platform 9 3/4 bookends. There are far few listings this year than last and the price has crept up a little.  This tells me the collectors lucky enough to own this set are hanging on to them.  If you see a set, bid on them as they are a joy to own and the price will soar on your investment.

Hallmark have produced some wonderful items.  Lamps, clocks, and bookends.  The biggest problem is no box!  It is really tough for a seller to pack these for brutal mailing trips.  No matter how much foam, bubble wrap or tissue paper they still seem to get chipped or broken.  This is making the items go up in price as so few survive the hetic trading and mailing.

I know that I have shed many a tear on items that I have won and received smashed because of poor packing or postal abuse. My sadness is always at loosing another great item.  The money comes and goes but a broken Harry collectable is gone forverer.

Good luck on your quest for collecting Harry Potter.

Remember ~ Everything is RARE!
