In 2008, Faerie Glen Collectibles continue to provide beautiful collectibles that grow in value quickly!
In 2002, Munro Gifts began the Faerie Glen series of numbered faerie collectibles. They have grown in popularity as each new collection has been offered. Each faerie has a unique personality, theme and coloring. Their similarities are only in their beauty. In this guide, I'll offer advice on collectibles in general, the most popular pieces in each collection, what's retired and where it can be found, and what's new and how soon you can get it!
Starting your collection...
When you begin to collect anything, there are a few things to remember. After you decide you have to have it, and you want more of it, you need the following to begin to have value for your collection:
Remember that today, yes, you absolutely love what you collect. Tomorrow things may change & you might have a valuable resource with your collectible that could bring you big dollars if you choose to sell it. The more information you have about your item, the better. It makes it easier to sell, easier to prove you have the item you are presenting and easier to determine value. Even if you want to keep your collection forever, you made need as much information as possible to determine insurance value.

When Munro released the first series of 12 faeries, no one expected the popularity of these beautiful faeries.
Faerie Glen Faeries History
In 2003, Munro Gifts release FG801 through FG812. The Faeries in this series are finely detailed, polyresin statues that are hand painted and very colorful. Each has a unique name and setting, with a nature or forest theme. In 2004, another series of 12 faeries were released, plus a mid-year release of 6 larger faeries in the series. In 2005, the most recent 12 faeries with a FLOWER theme were released, and Munro expanded the Faerie Glen collection with introduction of 6 Guardians of the Glen, 6 Dancers, 12 Ornaments and 6 Realms Water Globes. Each addition of new faeries and new collections have added to the value of the series and increased the value of the original series.
If you're lucky enough, and recognized the beauty and unique collectible value of the Faerie Glen series, you have some or all of the original 12. The first 12 continue to be traded on Ebay, but have become more rare as collectors are now holding their treasures close.
Faerie Glen Dancing Faeries
In 2004, Faerie Glen released a collection of 6 faeries designed to capture classic ballet dress and poses, set again in nature. Each of the six is dressed in a pastel color floral outfit, complete with ballet slippers and hair pulled back. Each are emerging from a flower, either preparing to dance, or in a ballet position.
Faerie Glen Dancers Collection
NOTICE: This collection of Dancing Faeries has been retired by Munro, early 2007. If this is one of the collections you have started with one or two, or you promised yourself you were going to get this, do it NOW. Once they are gone, they are fairy DUST!
Faerie Glen Guardians & Zodiac Faeries
Guardians of the Glen were introduced in 2004, at the same time the Dancing Faeries were released. The first 6 in the collection were very popular, detailed with earthtone color clothing, beautifully posed warrior women with weapons and strong feminine qualities ready for battle. The second 6 were released in 2005, continuing the series to include all 12 zodiac signs.
NOTICE: This collection of Guardians of the Glen Zodiac Faeries has been retired by Munro, early 2007. They are no longer available from the manufacturer, & are limited in quantity. If you want a specific faerie or zodiac sign, check out availability now & purchase if you do find her at a reasonable price.
Faerie Glen Realms Glitter Water Globes
The six Realms include Fernwhisper, Krystaluma, Meadowshine, Dewdance, Moonglimmer & Terratyme. Each is poised in her Realm on top of a beautiful matching base which compliments her theme. Munro decided to retired this series early in 2007, but the Krystaluma Realm is the only one sold out as of June, 07.
Faerie Glen expands collectibles with many new choices!
Faerie Glen collectibles have been such a success that Munro has now created several new products to complement the original series of figurines. The Faerie Glen ornaments include 12 popular releases, resized to about 4" each with a cord for hanging. Realms of Faerie Glen are 6 popular designs in a glitter water globe, with the base reflecting the theme of each faerie. The NEW Just Believe series includes the Love Series (retired in 2007, catch them while they last!), with a pair of boy & girl faeries posed together. The beautiful Dream Big & Just Believe and the Imagine & Just Believe figurines are each standing on a base, peering at their image in a mirror. Accessories were released with these figures, a small mirror table and a picture frame table.
Also released in 2005 were the Magic Faeries, each on a titled base, retired in early 2007. Recently, Munro has added the Friends of the Glen, magic unicorns and Pegasus figurines, (very hard to catch as they well out very quickly) and the FG Nightlights, featuring again 6 of the popular faerie releases.
NOTICE: Faerie Glen Nightlights Series has been retired by Munro. The six faeries in this series include Fernwhisper, Dewdance, Meadowshine, Moonglimmer, Blossombelle, Vernjoy & Anuradieu, with the last three listed already sold out.
FG African American Faeries became available over the summer, and the NEW Fashion Faeries are about to be released!

2007 brought a fantastic new series from Faerie Glen by Munro! The Woodland Collection consists of 8 new faeries, each with a different theme, dressed in colorful outfits on a unique nature base. Faerie Glen Bubble Series
New Faerie Glen Bubble Riders include Dewdance, Moonglimmer, Terratyme, Terramuse, Sundream & Sundance. Sundance is a Dancing Ballerina, which gives you another chance to get one of the dancers before they fade away.
Faerie Glen Horse Series
This series is beautiful faeries each with their own horse companion. Exploring is a faerie on horseback, looking over her domain. Sharing is a faerie standing next to her horse friend. Harmony is a faerie and her horse friend sitting in the grass, with a butterfly gently sitting on the horse's head. Daydreaming is a faerie sitting backwards on her white horse friend, with her legs crossed leaning on her hand, seeming to gaze into the distance. Each is on a detailed nature base.
Faerie Glen Faerie Tails Series
Can you believe it, yes, Cat Faeries!!! There are six in this series. Two are black, one siamese, one calico, one tiger & one, well, Buttercup. Each is so cute, in poises that you'll recognize as cat-like. Each is on a nature base, and each includes a butterfly somewhere.
Faerie Glen Accessories are so much FUN!
Another oversize piece has been added, Just Keep Believing, along with 2 picture frames and Moonglimmer's Picture, the Moonglimmer faerie sitting gently on a floral high heel shoe with a picture holder above her head. These new pieces add depth to the existing series, with the table mirror, table picture frame, and two other oversize pieces, Dream Big & Just Believe, and Imagine & Just Believe.

Faerie Glen Premier Scenes Series
This is a set of three, each with three faeries on a unique base. Bedtime Story is on a book, Ready to Serve is on a plate, and A Touch of Color is on an artists paint pallette. This is a limited edition release offered only to dealers who have made a substantial Faerie Glen purchase in 2006. There are only 4,800 pieces made by Munro of each of the three figurines, released worldwide.
Faerie Glen Premier Athlete Series
This is a set of three, each with a faerie in a display of physical prowess. Balance is poised between two flowers, Time to Fly is a young boy faerie running through the air, and Hanging Out is a beautiful faerie dangling from her flower base. This is also a limited edition release offered only to dealers who have made a substantial Faerie Glen purchase in 2006. There are only 4,800 pieces made by Munro of each of the three figurines, released worldwide.

FAEBIES have so precious!
Baby Faeries called FAEBIES were released in August 07. This is a fun series of four figurines, each with a different color scheme & the faces are so precious! You need to get them all!!!
The band is all FAERIE GLEN
These wonderful Faerie Glen Band members are spectacular! Each figure has a flower instrument to play. There's a drum, piano, guitar & horn. The faeries in this collection are wearing some of the most imaginative wardrobe yet! Check out this collection for all your musician family & friends this holiday season.
Friends in the Glen has new Pegasus Collection
The two large pieces from Faerie Glen Friends in the Glen included one with a faerie & a large Unicorn and one with a faerie & a large Pegasus. These two large pieces have now been retired! The four small unicorns as companions in the Friends in the Glen series were released in 2006 and are now retired as well. There are four Pegasus figures, a bit larger that the small unicorns, and a wonderful addition to this series from Faerie Glen.
