Lady and the Tramp: This beloved Disney classic was inspired by a puppy that Walt Disney gave to his wife as a gift. The film premiered in June 1955 and was the very first Disney animated film to be made in CinemaScope, which is a type of widescreen film projection. There is no music video for The Lady and the Tramp.

The Little Mermaid: Based on the story by Hans Christian Andersen, it was released in November 1989. Approximately 80% of the film was made from special effects, including the storms at sea and the underwater distortions (it's so beautiful). The Little Mermaid won an Academy Award for Best Song (Under the Sea) and Best Original Score. The music video is "Kiss the Girl" performed by Ashley Tisdale.

Peter Pan: The film was inspired by Sir James Barrie's play of the same name. It was released in February 1953. Kathryn Beaumont, who provided the voice for Wendy, also provided the voice for Alice in "Alice in Wonderland." The melody for "Second Star to the Right" was originally written for the film "Alice in Wonderland" under the title "Beyond the Laughing Sky," but they changed their mind and now here it is in Peter Pan. The music video is "The Second Star to the Right" performed by T-Squad.

The Jungle Book: This was inspired by Rudyard Kipling's book of the same name. The Jungle Book happened to be the last animated film to be supervised by Walt Disney. It was released in October 1967. The music video is "I Wanna Be Like You" performed by The Jonas Brothers.

One Hundred and One Dalmatians: Based on the novel 101 Dalmatians by Dodie Smith, it was released in January 1961. It was the first feature film to only use the Xerox process for transferring the animators' drawings to finished film. As you can imagine, it facilitated the process. The music video is "Cruella de Vil" peformed by Selena Gomez.

Sleeping Beauty: This was based on the fairy tale by Charles Perrault and was released in January 1959. Among the Disney films, this was the most elaborate and elegantly detailed animated feature to date. Look at the backgrounds and you'll see! The music video is "Once Upon a Dream" performed by Emily Osment. Sleeping Beauty is the first Platinum Edition to be released in Blu-ray.
