The average person with little Baseball Card knowledge would never think about investing in cards. "Its just a piece of cardboard", they all say. Cobb's cards have never been cheap or easy to find, they now are selling above estimated Market value. Especially if the card has been professionally graded or authenticated. Ty Cobb is a household name, an American "Baseball" Icon who built a love/hate relationship with baseball fans. Plus, when he retired in 1928, he was the holder of ninety major league records. Cobb also received the most votes of any player on the 1936 inaugural Hall of Fame Ballot. Look around Ebay and card shows, compare the sale prices to the Price Guide. You will notice a significant difference in the two, especially over the past few years. His cards are slowly rising in Price Guides but the cards are selling at much higher prices. Very few other players cards consistently sell higher than the Price Guide or offer a better investment than the Stock Market. Don't forget to vote. Thanks
