AIO - Abbreviation for All-In-One diapers.
All-in-One - AIO's or All-in-One cloth diapers offer the ultimate in convenience combining the ease of use of a fitted diaper without the need and expense of separate covers. AIO's can even be more economical then purchasing separate diapers and covers. AIO's which feature a 2 part design facilitate easy cleaning and quick drying time. Their ease of use puts them at the top of the list for babysitters, day care providers, daddy's, and mommy's!
Aplix - Aplix is a hook and loop fasterner similar to velcro.
Booster - Boosters are usually long and rectangular. They can be added to any diapering system to add absorbency.
CPF - Abbreviation for Chinese Prefold Diaper.
Chinese Prefold Diaper - These are flat diapers that are "prefolded" and sewn so that the middle third of the diaper has more layers to absorb where it is needed most. They can be pinned, however there are ways of folding them to be pinless or you can use a Snappi fastener.
Contoured Diaper - Contoured diapers usually hourglass shaped with no folding necessary. Just lay them in a wrap or diaper cover. They make changing a wiggly baby much faster and easier!
Deo-Disks - Small deoderizing disks used in diaper pails to control odors.
Diaper Cover - Wraps or diaper covers are used over prefolds, fitted, and contour diapers as the outer waterproof layer. They can be made of fleece, PUL (polyurethane laminate), wool or other treated cotton and polyester fabrics. They or snaps. Some covers act more like pull-ups and have no fasteners.
Diaper Wrap - Cloth diaper wraps are the same as diaper covers.
Doubler - Doublers are usually long and rectangular. They can be added to any diapering system to add absorbency.
DSQ - Abbreviation for Diaper Service Quality diapers which refers to high quality prefolds.
Fitted Diaper - Fitted diapers are used in place of prefolds or contours. They require a diaper cover or wrap, however they are cut in an hourglass shape and have elastic around the legs and waist and have either snaps or hook and loop fasterners. They are made to fit snug to the baby to hold messes in better.

Foldable Booster - Can be folded in half or thirds to add extra absorbency to any diapering system.
Hemp - hemp is made from the inner bark of the hemp plant. It is becoming increasingly popular for use in diapers because of its durability, absorbency and natural anti-microbial properites.
Insert - inserts are what you use to stuff pocket diapers.
Liner - Liners are usually one layer of material like micro fleece and are placed inside the diaper next to baby's skin to keep them feeling dry.
Nappy, Nappie - European word for diaper.
No-Fold Soakers - These soakers are made with 3 layers of absorbent fabric and can be topped with micro fleece. There is no folding involved.
One Size Diaper - A one size diaper usually fits a child from birth up until about 35 pounds.
Tri-Fold Soaker - These soakers (they soak up the pees and poops) are folded into thirds.
UBCPF - Abbreviation for an unbleached Chinese Prefold Diaper.
WAHM - Work at home mom
Wool Soaker - A wool soaker is basically a diaper cover made exclusively of wool. Due to its high lanolin content, wool works very well as a cloth diaper cover. It can hold up to 40% of its weight in moisture and is 100% breathable. Wool is perfect for anytime your baby will be in the same diaper for an extended period of time like naps, outings, or overnite.
