Confused about all of the fabrics used in modern cloth diapers?  Here is a quick reference guide to help you identify which fabrics are the best for cloth diapers.

Cotton Fleece - 100% cotton.  A soft cotton fabric with a fluffy brushed side.   Cotton fleece will stay soft wash after wash, unlike some other cotton fabrics like flannel and terry.  We love 100% cotton fleece as a soaker fabric.

Cotton Wovens - Cotton/Polyester Blends or 100% Cotton.  High quality cotton woven prints have a high thread count and soft feel.   We use these beautiful prints as the outers of our sized AIO's.



Hemp Fleece - 55% Hemp 45% Cotton.  An extremely durable and absorbent fabric that is brushed on one side.  It  has a similar feel to very soft sweatshirt fleece.  Hemp is renowned for it's anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.

Micro Fleece - 100% Polyester.  A very soft brushed fabric that is not absorbent at all.   Perfect for lining the inside of AIO shells as it will not conduct the wetness to the outside of the AIO.  Micro fleece by Malden Mills is known by manufacturers worldwide to be the highest quality available.



PUL - Polyurethane Laminate.  100% polyester knit laminated with a waterproof coating.  2 mil PUL is the best available.
