These books are written with very simple, short sentences, are are appropriate for beginning readers.
Clifford Glow-in-the-Dark Halloween
ISBN: 0439305667 Published: 2001
Based on Norman Bridwell's Clifford series, and specifically the picture book entitled, Clifford's Halloween. As in the earlier book, this one features Clifford and his friends as they trick-or-treat in their neighborhood. Each page of the books has glossy illustrations which are fun to look with the lights on or off. Just be sure to expose the cover and pages to light before turning off the light. The special ink won't glow otherwise.
Clifford Glow-in-the-Dark Christmas
ISBN: 0439305675 Published: 2001
This book is also based on Norman Bridwell's earlier works, especially Clifford's Christmas. Bright and shining Christmas trees, decorations and presents are printed with ink that glows. The story is about Clifford and his wait to see what Santa will bring on Christmas day. The pages are glossy, bright and fun. Young readers will love the inviting illustrations, and the words are easy to read too.
These books are published by Cartwheel Publications (Scholastic, Inc.). Used (and sometimes new) copies are readily available on the internet. Because they are hardcover, and the pages are thicker than usual books (to accomodate the special printing process), they tend to wear very well. Excellent used copies are frequently available.
