Cleaners that are avaliable in the supermarket today are full of harmful chemicals. If you want to be healthier and have a chemical free home, use these helpful tips for cleaning with Baking Soda.
Baking soda can be used in many different ways to clean around the house.
Kitchen
- Add 2 tablespoons to the sink along with your dishsoap to help cut through grease and stuck on foods.
- For cleaner dishes from the dishwasher fill one of the detergent cups with baking soda with every load.
- Floors, walls, countertops and appliances can be cleaned with the solution, add 6 tablespoons of baking soda to every gallon of water.
Bathroom
- Sprinkle a little baking soda on the sink and countertops, wipe with a damp sponge.
- Add a little to the toilet bowl and brush for a clean toilet
- Sprinkle baking soda in the tub and wipe the tub and shower walls down with a wet cloth or sponge.
- Floors and walls can be cleans by adding 6 tablespoons of baking soda to a gallon of water and wiping down with a cloth.
Laundry
- Add 1/2 cup baking soda to your whites in the wash machine!
- If you have a tough stain, make a past of baking soda and water and rub on the stain. Let it sit for 10 minutes and toss it in the wash.
Baking Soda can be bought in large boxes in addition to the small boxes that we all get for baking.
