Here is an easy way to clean vinyl dolls. I use whitening toothpaste (specifically Crest) and a little warm water. Apply toothpaste directly to skin, dip soft cloth in warm water and rub gently. Sometimes if there is a stubborn stain I will apply the toothpaste directly to the stain and let it sit for a minute or two before scrubbing. Rinse with warm water and repeat if necessary. You may have to repeat several times to get the results you want. The dolls skin should brighten up considerably. Also, If you wish to wash her hair I use mild shampoo or hand dishwashing detergent. A great way to get out tangles and/or soften up stiff hair is to use spray on/leave on conditioner and a comb with wide gaps between the teeth. I will spray a little on the hair and rub it in then spray some on the comb. It helps the comb slide through the hair better, thus not pulling it out.
