Ceramics is an enjoyable art for many people. You do not have to be artistically inclined to have fun with Ceramics products. Here is a tip to having a great finished product.
Do not just pick up a piece and start painting. Ceramic Bisque has a dust on it that can affect your finished product. Before painting or glazing a ceramic bisque piece, first dampen sponge with clean/clear water, then completely sponge ceramic piece. Do not soak piece in water, it will take time to dry. This technique removes dust particles that could effect the glaze and/or paint when applied.
You can use any craft paint on ceramic bisque pieces. I always seam pieces after painting to protect item and make it easier to dust later.
Ceramic glazes come in a variety of colors and techniques for use very. Please check manufactures label for detail information on how to apply and fire.
