Christian Audigier jackets and hoodies are famous for their stunning design and fabulous graphics. Fame invites immitation, there are quite a lot of fake Christian Audigier items out there on ebay. This guide is SPECIFICALLY for the Crest & Chain jacket.

There are at least 3 sellers that are selling fake Crest & Chain jackets, and I'll list them and explain why the items they sell are fake. You don't have to take my word for it, you can verify with other legit and knowledgeable Christian Audigier seller, check the Christian Audigier website for detailed pictures, or contact Christian Audigier at customerservice @ christianaudigier.com (please take out the spaces before and after the @. I put them there since ebay guides do not allow external links).

Also, I want to note that these seller may or may NOT know what they are selling are fake. They may have been misled themselves. The purpose of the guide is to help you, the buyer, to avoid buying a fake item, nothing more.

1. Seller affluent-attire sold a couple of the black jackets, item numbers 220190543465 and 220189073960. His jackets are fake because:

a. You can tell from the pictures that the material is wrong. The material of the real one is velvety, felt-like.

b. The printing on the sleeves doesn't start at the neck. They start around the shoulder, about 6 inches from the neck.

c. The crown printed on the back is NOTHING like the real thing. It's cartoonish.

2. Seller doggx0 has listings of the black and blue ones. While I cannot tell you with any certainty that his items are fake since he STOLE MY PICTURES! All his listings use the pictures I took for my listings, yet he claims that YOU will be bidding on the exact same item shown in the pictures! How is that possible, I wonder!

3. Seller ladyleo35 has sold quite a few, and still has active listings of both the blue and black ones. I can GUARANTEE that the BLUE ones are fake because:

a. The Crown on the back is wrong. The tips of the crown shouldn't look like child's doodle.

b. The printing on the sleeves doesn't end at the cuffs as in her pictures. They should be cut-off around the first rose below the ribbon with the word "AUDIGIER".

c. The CA signature zipper-pull on these are fake. They are slightly different in shape which is hard to see, but the color of the gold-plate is way off. If you own another CA jacket or hoodie, you'll be able to tell immediately. All current CA jackets and hoodies use the SAME gold-plated signature zipper pull.

As for the black one, this seller used the stock photo from Christian Audigier website, so I can't say anything about the crown on the back, but there's the same problem with the printing on the sleeves.

I've seen this version of the jacket, and I've even been offered them at about $28 wholesale. These are by far the best fakes I've seen.

Please also note that all GENUINE Christian Audigier hoodies and jackets have a label on the inside left seam with UNIQUE serial numbers! If they don't, they are NOT authentic.
