Choosing the Right MP3/MP4/MP5 Player for You & Yours
With literally hundreds of choices of mp3, mp4 and now mp5 players how are you to choose the right players for you and your loved ones? It actually becomes quite simple when you narrow it down to your personal options and interests.
Here are some questions to ask yourself:
1. What is your price range? This is important and can help you narrow your selection so that you focus on reasonable options for you.
2. Do you want a player that allows for access to music via iTunes or would you prefer access via a variety of sources such as Windows Media Player, Quick Time Player, etc? Again, this will help narrow your selection. If you choose iTunes you want an Apple Brand and only an Apple Brand. If you choose diversity amongst music selection you look to other brands.
3. What other options, in addition to music, would you like? If you just want music an inexpensive, generic mp3 player might be perfect. However, if you want mp4 access with high contrast music videos you are looking for something a little more pricey.
So what options are available?
A) Hard-drive sizes up to 200 GB+
B) Music
C) Photos
D) Videos
E) e-text readers
F) audio recorders
G) Camera (welcome to the world of mp5)
H)...and more
Set a price range, decide if you want iTunes access or access via other online players, choose the options you want, and determine if you want to set up peripherals such as wireless access (this will affect which brand and unit you purchase). Having done this, you will find that you go from several hundred options to one or two. Now, it is just a matter of pricing them. As for any peripherals you can purchase those later.
