Other libraries rely heavily on digitally orchestrated music that is created electronically and lacks the expression and richness of sound that can only be captured by recording artists live as they are playing. There are over 3,000 selections in the QRS CD library in every genre imaginable, from classical and jazz to your favorite pop artists, with new titles added monthly.
The music is organized into catagories that make it easy to find the music that you like. The catagories are explained below.
Solo Piano CDs
Nostalgic Series:
All recordings in this series are derived from piano rolls, including the celebrated QRS rolls played by Liberace, JoAnn Castle, Fats Waller and others. The CDs contain proprietary "Analog MIDI" data on the left channel to drive the Pianomation system and depress the piano keys. The right CD channel is blank.
Performance Series:
Live solo piano recordings with full expression, showcasing the superb playback capabilities of Pianomation. The CDs contain proprietary "Analog MIDI" data on the left channel to drive the Pianomation system and depress the piano keys. The right CD channel is blank.
Transcription Series:
Talented studio artists continue an old Pianomation tradition: They painstakingly transcribe audio recordings by your favorite keyboard soloists! The CDs contain proprietary "Analog MIDI" data on the left channel to drive the Pianomation system and depress the piano keys. The right CD channel is blank.
Piano With Accompaniment
Digitally Orchestrated Series:
Piano with Synthesized MIDI Accompaniment. These CDs contain proprietary "Analog MIDI" data on the left channel to drive the Pianomation system and depress the piano keys. The right CD channel carries "digitally orchestrated" background music.
Concert Series:
Piano with Live Accompaniment. Concert-quality piano performances coupled with live bands, combos, vocalists, and prestigious orchestras (Stuttgart, London, Prague, Vienna, and many others). These CDs contain proprietary "Analog MIDI" data on the left channel to drive the Pianomation system and depress the piano keys. The right channel carries the accompanying "live" audio recording. Some of these CDs contain vocal tracks.
Original Artist Series:
Exclusive couplings of original stars and Pianomation, made possible by exciting new technology and exclusive licensing. Hear the original stars sing their original hits! These CDs contain proprietary "Analog MIDI" data on the left channel to drive the Pianomation system and depress the piano keys. The right channel carries "live" original artist vocals and accompanying audio recordings.
Sync-Along CD Series:
A Sync-Along CD takes the original artists album and then places an extraordinary piano part into the mix. This added piano part then plays "in sync" and "along" with the artists' original CD music through the technology of Pianomation. This new art brings an excitement to those old or new tunes you love. A Petine or Ancho Controller is required to play Sync-Along CDs.
Be very careful when purchasing Sync-Along Series CDs on eBay. CDs in this series require a special three-character access code in order to play. Unless the seller is a certified Pianomation dealer, they will not be able to provide this code and the piano portion of the CD will not play.
