There are some outstanding features on this console. First off the ergonomically designed controller - which in my opinion feels much better in my hand than the PS3 Sixaxis controller. Second the option of have all wired or wireless products (the headset, the controller, the chatpad). Of course we all know the real reason most people, myself included, bought this console. Halo 3 really was the one title that put this system over the top to the point where you didn't have an option on whether to buy this or not.
There are several things that I don't like about the 360. First off you have to pay for online use, granted it is a little more organized and they cut down on hackers, but still it is a shame. Second, if you haven't heard of the RROD (Red Ring of Death) I'm sure your time will come soon. My 360 fried twice, the first time Microsoft replaced it and the second time, even though my XBox 360 was still under the 3 year warranty plan my policy was VOIDED BECAUSE THEY ALREADY GAVE ME A REPLACEMENT. What kind of warranty plan is that? Their product keeps breaking but because they honored the policy one time, they do not have to continue? Needless to say I'm not the only one out there like this it has happened to several of my friends as well.
What you should know when making a decision to buy a 360 or a PS3:
1. PS3 has Blu Ray, XBox 360 does not - right there a main reason not to buy 360.
2. Most titles are on both consoles, with a few exceptions of course.
3. PS3 does not have any bugs - no overheating, freezing
4. PS3 specs are far greater than XBox 360, though up until now they really haven't been utilizing the console to the best of its ability.
5. XBox 360 online play is better hands down.
6. There are some games on the PS3 where you can use the controller much like a Wii controller and it mirrors your hand movements.
Either way you go, you'll be in good hands. Gameplay is much better that it was back when I was a teenager.
