When choosing a radar detector, I can save you some time, and headaches.  I have owned and sold Bel radar detectors, Cobra radar detectors, Whistler radar detectors, and most generic and off brand radar detectors.

But for Christmas this year, I recieved a Valentine One radar detector and it blows away any other radar detectors I have ever had my hands on.

The Valentine 1 has the longest detecting range of any of the detectors on the market.  It has true front, and rear coverage, it has logic systems built in, and is able to show you location of the alert, and quanity of detectors in use.

Last night I was traveling with the flow of the traffic about 20 over the posted speed limit.  The Valentine 1 alerted mt to a state trooper who was well off the berm, with zero lights on, and using his gun on impulse mode.  As soon as I was alerted, I immediately decreased my speed, went by the trooper only to see him at the last second before passing him ( well hidden) only to watch his lights come on and nail a vehicle behind me.

That one alert saved me more than what the detector cost.  20 over the limit is not a cheap proposition in Pennsyltucky.  Save a little longer, or bite the bullet and spend the extra bucks to get a real radar detector.  By the way, the manual that comes with the detector is easy reading, and teaches you about radar and how to know when you are about to be busted.
