Here at Prima Supply we've been selling Vita-Mix blenders, pitchers, and accessories for several years with great success.  Our customers are always satisfied with the power blenders like the Vita Prep bring to their kitchens.  You can't beat a Vita-Mix when you're looking to blend smoothies, grind nuts, or serve iced drinks to your guests or customers.  When you go to purchase yours, you'll either choose an auction for a blender with a certain sized container or call in to make sure we ship the right one out.  So before you call, consider which one will be best for you!

For standard blenders you'll be choosing between a 48 oz. or 64 oz. container.  If faced with this decision, consider the following:

48 oz. container:
  • Square top and lid makes pouring easier since it's funneled to the corner.
  • Handle is not attached at the bottom, so you can stack these containers for storage.
  • Is plenty big enough to handle normal sized drinks (12 - 16 oz.) for 3 to 4 people.
64 oz. container:
  • It's bigger.  And for many people, bigger is always better.
  • These containers are not stackable and are sometimes harder to pour out of.
Vita-Mix also sells Advance model blenders which use XP or MP containers.  They market the blenders as having either a 32 oz. or 48 oz. container, but you should really know that the containers are the exact same size.  The only difference is how high the markings go up the side.  You usually won't be faced with a choice, because the Bar Boss Advance is shipped with a 32 oz. container to prevent splash forcing the lid open if the container is filled too high.  The Blending Station Advance ships with the 48 oz. container due to design differences that supposedly allow it to handle more liquid without overflowing.  Either container will fit either machine, so don't fret about the markings on the side and be sure to hold the lid if you're blending a lot at once.
