I have a 150cc Roketa scooter from China. The scooter itself is great. I've had no problems with it and has saved me quite a bit of money at the gas pumps. I think alot of people out there are hesitant about buying an overseas-manufactured scooter for fear of not being able to locate parts. That's simply not true. You may not have a local retailer but you can certainly find parts and tech support online. I made sure of it before I ever bought the scooter. A local Honda dealer wants $2400 for a 125cc!!!!! $1800 for a 50cc. Having that "Honda" name on your scooter is quite expensive.

One piece of advice, I wouldn't recommend purchasing anything from BNScooters in Wichita, KS. Everything on the site looked good but the BBB had several unresolved complaints. After some further research, I found that BNScooters is actually owned now by National Direct Powersports (which has a favorable BBB rating). When I made the initial phone call to the dealer, he was very courteous and forthcoming with information. I bought the scooter from him and ordered a matching trunk at the same time. It took a month to get my certificate of origin so that I could title it and get tags. My trunk came not too long after that but was the wrong color. I called to talk with the same guy and he was extremely rude. He said they didn't have a trunk the same blue color as my scooter. Would have been nice if he had mentioned that at the time of purchase. So I requested flat black. Another month went by and I got the same color as the first one. When I emailed him about it, his reply was that "if you send it back, we won't be sending anymore". So I kept both trunks and spray painted one to match the scooter as best I could. If BNScooters wants the other trunk, they're welcome to come to my home and pick it up.

One more thing . . . before you bid on a scooter listed on eBay or anywhere else, make sure you know what the seat height is. I've seen them as low as 28" and as high as 34.8". Most seem to be around 30-31". If you're short, that's a huge factor.

Hope this was of some help.
