My user ID is bbs53, I have been buying and selling RC cars and related products since 2000. I have almost 2000 transactions and a perfect feedback record and the last thing I want to see is anyone get ripped off for their money. I offer the following as a general guide to all buyers. we all want to find a great deal, but some are too good to be true, this is an example of one scenerio. I have dealt with people in Hong Kong, Japan and Indonisia, all reputable dealers with great success, so this is not a slam against overseas sellers, only those that would take your money. This should serve as a warning to all of you that dream of finding a perfect piece of RC history for 1/4 the price it should be going for. I have seen several sellers that happen to be Chinese, in China, that have no history to speak of other than a few dollar or 2 trinkets they bought to build up their feedback. Then all of a sudden they are offering the Holy Grail of Tamiya RC cars, in this case a Tamiya Sand Scorcher, which is an off road VW buggy, and usually stealling the pictures or the entire ad from another ebayer. There are 2 on now that are dead rip-off's of others ad's. This surfaced a while back when a no sales seller turned up with 3 of the most desireable cars for sale, Western Union only and contact outside of the Ebay network. These things are red flags and we all know it. You must resist the temptation to give in to greed. Why would anyone sell a thousand dollar car in a one day auction for less than half that? The answer is simple, to steal your money. It is time for Ebay to take action and remove these scammers from the site. It would be easy to set up an algorythem to catch the pattern and would not require anyone to do anything but check the kick outs once in a while. I have sent 4 warnings into the company warning of this scam and have not seen anything but it get worse so it is up to you the buyer to stop this by not transacting any business with out Paypal payments and the usual assurances that are in place for your protection. You have been warned! The company pulled this warning probably because the Chinese scammer reported it, can we say working?
