When you buy anything on ebay from China that says it is "pure silver", you will be defrauded.  For example, I bought several so-called "yuan bao" from China and the dealers (several) all claimed they were pure silver, used as money in ancient China.  Also several "bullion" bars, from various dealers, also claimed to be pure silver.  I took some of these items to an assay office to have them checked.  The average silver content was less than 1 % in ALL cases.  Fortunately I bought the "yuan bao" more because I like looking at them rather than investment purposes.  The "bullion" bars, however, I did buy for investment purposes.  Obviously a bad investment.  If this should happen to you, do not expect to be reimbursed by ANYONE, ebay included.
