A few Months ago, I was going to purchase a case lot of Chinese Air Rifles, but decided to just buy one, test it and then repackage it and use it for a test auction. When it arrived in the mail a few days later, I noticed immediatly that the package illustrations were not only beautifully done, but somewhat misleading.The Rifle ,a JP-916, was touted as being semi automatic, hard hitting and i think had a stated velocity of about 200 fps.The following is my dismal attempt to verify this information. First off it's one of the most cheaply made  "Toys" I've ever seen, and will bend and flex in your hand. There is no Barrel, but simply a hole drilled from the receiver to the tip of the muzzle. "Semi-Automatic"?, well if semi automatic means pulling back the horrible spring loaded handle every time you wanted to fire a plastic pellet, well then i guess it must be semi-automatic. Oh I'm sorry, did I say "Fire", I meant you pulled the trigger and the pellet rolls out the "Barrel"(you must point the barrel to the floor to do this")where it drops harmlessly on the floor.The laser sight, by some miracle, did actually work,and the telescopic lens was hollow with a cute plastic crosshair on one end (WOW!!!) .I think I paid 9.99 for this junk, which is about 9.98 more than it's worth.What will our freinds from overseas think of next huh?. All I could think of when I was playing with this Piece of junk, was some Chinese guy sitting behind a desk and laughing his head off at all the suckers buying his junk,and Thinking to himself "Ahhhh there's one born every minute.....God bless 'em."
