I'm sure you are well aware of those Unscrutible Chinese Jewelers, with their claims of "Rare, Old, Vintage, Purchased from an Old Private Collection", used in their descriptions. And as you surf e-Bay, you see ten other items exactly like it. Well, don't be too quick to judge their motives. In my estimation the problem is primarily their understanding of the English language. For example, in their listings, when it gets to the part about "description", they don't describe the actual item, rather, you will most likely get a geography,or history lesson on China, or Tibet, or how Turquoise or Jade is supposed to make you rich, or heal your mind, etc. To them , that is what describes the item. If you want more, look at the picture. I have purchased many items from China, and yes I have been disapointed in some of them, but I have gotten some very fine items as well. The Chinese are born merchants. Remember, they did sell Marco Polo a boat load of noodles, and fireworks. Having said all that, the important thing is to buy small, inexspensive, until you find a dealer you can trust, then you will find much happiness!! They do have some very fine products.
