Ever wonder if they are all junk???

Of the over 1000 manufacturers of Chinese ATV's and Dirt Bikes, only a hand full are safe and worth the money you spend on them. Yet, you will see people advertising their products as though they are the best that China has to offer...STOP, there is a big difference and I would like to explain.

After researching the factories for over 2 years and testing products for a year, my company has come to the conclusion that the differences are extreme and consumers would have no idea what they are being sold. They all look identical...why...because they are copies of the originals.

I looked over an eBay listing yesterday and can't get it out of my head..."This quad is equipped with LONCIN or LIFAN Engine (Both are the most reliable and durable engine made in China)." WELL, WHICH ONE IS IT!!! Lifan is rated as the number 1 engine manufacturer for Quality and Volume out of China. Loncin...hmmmm. I have many Dealers that used to sell Loncin but prefer Lifan by far. The biggest claim they make is that once a Lifan leaves the store, it doesn't come back...unless the owner is bringing friends in to show them where they bought it so they can buy too.

Many sellers are linking in or claiming that the (other) engines are like Lifan. I can tell you first hand that the difference in the metalergy, design and basic assembly is where it's at. An example would be pressing a bearing into place...not using a hammer. For those of you who are chuckling...I'm serious. If you go to most of these factories, people aren't properly trained to assemble these engines. I haven't even started on the design and welding of the frame.

One thing you should know...Lifan is more expensive than the others...because it's built right. The only thing that really ever concerns me, and this includes all bikes from China, is the Dealer putting them together right??? You have to check all the screws, nuts and bolts, oils and everything else...just like on the Japanese bikes. So many people are bringing them here and want to sell direct to public without assembly, what happened to safety??? Most people think they have an idea of how it's done but that's not good enough...just to save a few dollars they are willing to risk their life or the life of their child, I don't get it.

I don't know if this helps anyone or not but safety is everything to me and I don't want people hurt from false advertising.

Take care and ride carefully.
