Write a guide China Rip offby: docs_zone ( 18 )  34 out of 38 people found this guide helpful. Recently I purchased an 1876-S and1877-S Silver Trade Dollars from two individuals in China. Both have been deemed conterfiet by a coin gallery here in Sacramento, CA. In addition the 1876-S was advertised as an 1876-CC, but I received the wrong one. "Beware of coins from China" is what I was told and know I'm not sure if I have any recourse.
