Chimay Rouge - One of the World's Finest Beers

Chimay Rouge - which I enjoyed for the first time this weekend with my sister who works at Blue Smoke in New York City - is one of the world's finest beers and a secret of the Trappist Monks in Belgium. Although Belgium is known for its great beers, not all Belgium beers have the same world renowned and recongition that Chimay does. Chimay Rouge carries a red color with a fruity aroma and is best enjoyed from an open, wide glass so that you can enjoy its creamy head. Chimay Rouge goes down very smooth with an almost caramel spicey finish. This beer can stand out to the fattier, spicier foods - however, it drinks beautifully on its own as well. If  of legal drinking age, I encourage you to enjoy Chimay Rouge as well!
