FaQ

*Questions and answers*

Is glycolic acid safe?

Yes. There are no bad side-effects when used according to the instructions! Never use on
children! The FDA does issue a sunburn warning for all glycolic acid users.*Make sure that
you use a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 preferably 30 or 45. Because this product
may make your skin more sensitive to the sun, be certain you have adequate sunscreen
protection while using this product and for a week afterwards.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What are the benefits of glycolic acid?

Alpha Hydroxy Acid is used to improve the quality of the skin surface, to slow the aging
process and increase moisturization through exfoliation. It works actively to reduce the
problems of acne prone skin, acne scars, dry and oily skin, photodamaged skin, age spots,
pigment irregularities, and fine wrinkles. It also stimulates the collagen and elastin fibers
within the skin to improve its quality and suppleness. It is actually the condition of the
skin's collagen that causes lines and wrinkles.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't notice any peeling, is the product working correctly?

Absolutely! . The peeling process is gradual. Most of the sloughing action will take place
when you wash your face. It is a great idea to get a facial scrubber (bristles work best)
and do a nice washing to get the loosened skin off about 2-3 days post peel. You may
experience some minor flaking or a tight feeling for a few days, but this will subside.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When will I see results?

You will notice the results very quickly. Most people can see and feel a difference in the
smoothness of their skin even after the first treatment. You must remember though,
professional exfoliations are a cumulative process, and the final results will take between
6-8 applications to realize.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have acne prone skin, how long before I will see improvement?

Acne starts way below the skin as a hair follicle that gets clogged with sebum and dead skin
cells. It usually takes about 3 weeks for the pimple to reach the surface of the skin and
become a nuisance to be dealt with. As your top skin layers are exfoliated the clogged
pores will come to the surface, possibly increasing the acne you have now. BUT, as these
pores clear themselves, you will notice a MARKED improvement in the appearance of your
skin. As long as you continue on with a daily maintenance system to keep these pores clear
you should continue to have clear(er) skin.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How many exfoliations will I get out of the bottles?

It only takes a very small amount of solution to exfoliate the skin. You will probably get
atleast 15 peels.Several (7-10) drops worth, on a cotton pad, will be plenty for each
treatment. There is absolutely no need to have the skin dripping wet, actually this would be
dangerous, as the solution could get into the eyes... The solution will dry quickly, but will
be hard at work!
