Last night, I went to dinner at a local hotspot in Greensboro, NC, but ventured to another location for dessert. This delicatessen was Cheesecake by Alex, a small, intimate place, cleverly placed in downtown Greensboro at 315 South Elm Street. On the weekends, there is live music in the courtyard. I ordered a Peanut Butter Cheesecake and a cup of coffee. As soon as I tasted the rich, creamy dessert, I was in heaven. Although one slice was wonderful, it was sweet enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. The coffee was pretty good, as well, but, of course, it is difficult to ruin coffee. The setting, while it was intimate and romantic, did not allow for many guests. It was extremely small, but allowed room for an intimate conversation between friends. Overall, Cheesecake by Alex was a very delightful experience. This delicatessen not only offers cheesecake, but also crumb, red velvet, and chocolate cakes. The company also delivers for those who are hosting a party or just do not want to get out. For anyone looking for a sweet experience for some friends or a date, Cheesecake by Alex is a wonderful idea.
