I have had alot of feedback from customers lately about purchases made with some eBay sellers that went wrong! My last comment from a customer was this:
He said he was new to eBay and was shopping by price alone. He wanted a marine radio and found the cheapest one and clicked the buy it now button. He paid right away and also chose 2 day shipping from the seller. That was over 3 weeks ago! He still has no item, and she told him she would only refund his money if he left positive feedback first....she did not have the item in stock and never got ahold of him to let him know. He now is being bullied by her over the feedback issue to get his money back. He is now ordering one from me once he gets this refund from the seller that did not refund him right away when she had zero in stock!
What is wrong with this picture?
1. He shopped by price but never checked out the seller. Turns out she is pretty new to eBay with less than 200 feedbacks and only has a 98% positive...sounds good, but read the negatives to find out more before you buy! Read all of their feedback.
2. She is worried about getting a negative and wants him to leave a positive before she refunds his money? What if he does and she does not refund, it will look as if he got it...what he should do is report it to eBays "Item not received" department and let them help him get that refund the correct way!
3. Communication with the seller and buyer is important, know who you are buying from. Send them an email before you purchase and see how they respond to you.
4. Again always read feedback!
Shopping by price is important but so it honesty and customer service. A legitimate seller will always give you what you expect, cheaper is a risk and not always worth the risk or the best choice.
