There are several dealers selling cheap FM transmitters for as little as .99 plus $4-5 shipping. These gadjets look like a cigarette lighter adaptor with a wire that goes to your MP3 player-DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! The cheapest ones are marked CAR AV and claim to have an optimal range of 10ft. and operate at 87.7 and 106.4 Mhz.These devices do work but the signal is so weak and intermittent that you can barely hear anything!I tried these devices in several cars with good radios and at a range of 10" [that's inches not feet] all I got was a scratchy, weak signal that kept going in and out no matter which frequency I tried. If you contact the seller they will refund your .99 if you send it back but shipping is not refundable so you are out the original shipping and the cost to send it back! These dealers are making the money on the shipping and counting on the fact that most people won't bother to send the junk back.A decent FM transmitter will cost at least $20.00 or get a cassette adaptor-they work!
