We've had a lot of inquiries on the proper method of charging electric forklifts and so we have provided some simple rules as a guideline:
Most electric forklifts will need to be charged a full 8 hours if used 8-10 hours per day. You can simply plug in and charge over night if you operate mostly during the day.
For those businesses that may only use the lift 2-3 hours per day, charging over the weekend should provide enough power for the entire week.
It is not necessary to plug the lift up to the charger every time you use it for an hour or so. It is best to charge only after the battery has run down (but not all the way to the point the lift doesn't operate).
Make sure to check the water reserve for the battery. Proper preventative maintenance will extend the life of the battery. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to drop us an email and we'd be happy to answer them.
