In researching the topic, I found two good resources on a relatively undocumented history: cast-iron stoves. First is an online article titled "The Albany and Troy Stove Industry: from start to finish 1808-1936" - found by google search of Heermans & Rathbone Co. Includes a spreadsheet of stove business names, city, start/end dates and type (Foundry vs. Mfr & Dealer).
Second is a book (out of print, but available in most libraries) authored by Tammis Kane Groft: Cast with Style - Nineteenth Century Cast Iron Stoves from the Albany Area.
