Nine years on EBAY and I finally got stung! Cossack swords with and without bayonets are being offered by sellers who make no bones about being in China and some who say they are in the US (Seattle, WA for one) but ship from China. This was the biggest piece of junk and it has a serial number in common with three others that have been put up since I bid. It was chemically treated to age it so recently that it stunk when I opened the package. The guys admitting to selling from China are charging $100.00 to $200.00 shipping. The supposedly Seattle based guy who got me charged $40.00 but that shipped from China, too! So, how much does it cost???  THEY ALSO SELL SAMURAI SWORDS! The danger signs were there but I didn't put them together probably because the auction was so professionally set up. These guys are good! BUT they have private feedback, pretend not to write english well so you will read into their text meanings that are not there, and they are very polite and helpful in answering questions. Don't get caught like me. At least I have a double safety net: PayPal and American Express to go to bat for me. Ill post the results later.
