The purpose of this guide is to discuss best practices for carrying your essential oils when traveling

Background

I travel quite a bit. I learned there are things I learned which may help you

Rule #1.  With today's travel restrictions, even though items less than 3 ounces are permitted, there is a certain amount of paranoia from security when carrying liquids in airport checkpoints. so my best advise, if flying dont carry them. You can premail them to your destination, or check them in your luggage (see below rules for ideas for containering)

Rule #2   If you must, have a zip lock bag ( or double bag) your oil container with your favorite oil

Rule #3 If you are carrying multiple oils, (less than 5) use a latex glove.  The oils fit nicely in each fingerhole

Rule #4  If more than 5 consider buying an oil carrier or portfolio. Here is an example of a 32 oil carrier

Rule #5  Consider wearing jewelry that allows you to have a small stash of a few drops.. Look for the keyword essendulum

small, travel-size toiletries with three ounces or less of liquids or gels will be permitted in carry-on luggage, provided they can collectively fit into a plastic bag that is roughly the size of a sandwich bag.
