EXTERIOR
Coach classic glove tanned leather briefcases, backpacks, large travel bags and handbags are easy to care for.

Coach recommends:

• Coach Leather Cleaner 
• Coach Leather Conditioner / Moisturizer

Use these products on the finished leather only. Apply  with a clean soft white rag or cloth. The cleaner should be used very sparingly. Apply the moisturizer liberally,  at least twice a year or more if needed.

Hot Tip: If you are uncertain what type of leather bag you own, refer to the inside Coach creed, it will tell you the materials used to manufacture the bag. If the Coach creed is hard to read, contact Coach for cleaning instructions.

STAINS
Most folks are under the impression that you can get out ink, grease, oil, or makeup from their Coach bags. Because Coach bags are unsealed, and the leather breaths, much like your own skin, these stains are not removable. According to Coach, if your bag has any of these stains, the best method is to do nothing. Over time these stains will blend into the leather and become less evident as the leather ages. Any attempt of removal will only damage the leather.

INTERIOR
If your bag is unlined with the back of the Coach leather, Coach recommends not to use any products to clean. What I find works well is a good shake out and a small vacuum cleaner to remove unwanted debris, like dust and dirt. If your bag is lined with ballistic nylon fabric, a clean damp lint free cloth works well to take off most marks.

Coach offers a fabulous repair service. Just take your Coach into your local Coach store or send it to Coach Repairs.

WORN PIPING
If your briefcase or bag is in need of repair that will require new piping, which is the edging of the leather, you can send it to Coach Repairs.

LOOSE STITCHING / BROKEN ZIPPER
If your briefcase or bag is in need of a repair that will require a needle, like a broken zipper or loose stitching, you can send it to Coach Repairs.

If your hardware is brass or gold in color, you can use any good quality brass cleaner like Brasso Brass Cleaner to shine it up.  Brasso can be applied with a clean soft white cloth, or for smaller spaces, try a cotton ball or Qtip.

BRASS HARDWARE
If your brass or nickel turnlock or d-rings are tarnished or scratched and you wish to replace, Coach provides free replacement brass hardware for many leather briefcases and turnlock bags.  They are simple to install too, all you need is a small screwdriver.

HANGTAGS
If you lost your Coach hangtag or your bag did not come with one, Coach will give you a free replacement hangtag. Simply contact Coach and give them the particulars (serial number, found on the creed and color) of your briefcase or bag.

STRAPS
If you lost your Coach strap for your briefcase or bag, Coach offers replacement straps for most of their products. Simply contact Coach and be ready to give them the particulars, (serial number, found on the creed and color) of your briefcase or bag.

STORAGE
When not is use, place your clean bag in your Coach Dust Bag. If you do not have a dust bag an undyed cotton pillowcase will work fine as well.
