This Guide will assist you in installing your very own Amplifier for your Car Audio System.

Caution:::: If you use this Guide. DO NOT CONNECT ANY OF THE WIRES OR CONNECTIONS TO YOUR AMP UNTIL YOU HAVE REACHED THE PART IN THIS GUIDE THAT TELLS YOU TO CONNECT THE WIRES TO THE AMP!!!!!!!!!

Ok, Lets get straight to it.. Below is the tools and accessories you will need to complete your task.

And remember use caution in doing this.  If your not sure you can complete this properly leave it up to the professionals.

Ok lets Go.

First of all of course you need the

1.Amplifier

2. Amp Wiring Kit.

3.Phillips and Flat Head Screwdriver,Pliers, Rachet Set (To disconnect the Positive Battery Cable) Electrical Tape, Wire Cutters or Wire Strippers( Wire Strippers are easier to strip the wire) and some Extra Screws for the mounting of your Amp

Once you have all of your tools and equipment laid out nice and neat Here's what you want to do. With the hood to your car up, Take the Red 8,6,4  gauge(Depending on what wattage Amp you will be using, the higher the wattage the lower the gauge wire you want) wire that should be anywhere from 16 to 20 foot long and place one end beside the Positive Side Battery Terminal and leave it.(This Power Wire could be blue or also a different color not just Red) do not attact to battery yet.Take the other end and find a place on the fire wall underneath your hood that you can place it through so it will be inside your car.  Depending on what side of the car your battery is on, the wire should be on the driver or passenger side floor board once you get it to go through.. if you cannot find anyplace to run the power wire through the fire wall, then you should be able to open the front driver or passenger side door and find a way to run it through the upper part of either door, and then carry it down to the floor board, you will understand what im talking if you have to try this route. to protect the power wire, the Amp Kit you bought should have came with a black covering that can be placed on about 4-6 foot of the Power Wire. (If you have to run the Power Wire through the top of the door use this covering to protect the Power wire from the Opening and Closing of the door. test it out by opening and shutting the door a few times to see if it damages any of the wire if it doesnt then continue. If it does you must find a different place to put the Power wire.) Once you do that. You will have to run the Power Wire along the floor board of your car where the doors are. the trim that is right inside the door or doors on your car is what i mean. You will probably  need a flat head screwdriver to pry this trim up.. it's usually held down by 2-4 fasteners. once you do this run the Power Wire underneath the panels all the way to the back set of your car, and then you must find a place under or behind your back seat to get This Power Wire to your trunk. (Of course if you have a hatchback then you can skip this step) You should have at least 3-5 feet of Power Wire left to work with. Just leave it for now. do not hook it up to your Amp.

Ok now you can do this next step one of two ways. 1st. If you have a Radio that is not the factory radio. ex: Pioneer,Kenwood,Sony etc. More than likely it has RCA Outputs.. There usally colored Red and White.  You will have to gain access to the back of the Radio to connect your RCA Cables to these Outputs.  Once you have taken your radio out of your dash enough to gain access to The Output terminals to your Radio(which I cant advise you on how to do)  You will need to Run the RCA Cables underneath your dash board up into and behind where your radio normally sits so the Cables wont show once you connect them. Once you run them up under your dash to the back of the Radio go ahead and connect them to the outputs of your radio. Match them together. Red to Red and White to White. If the Colors are not the same. Usually there always will be a Red one. so connect those together and by process of  ellimanation the other ones go together. Once you've done that leave your radio out. Run the RCA cables underneath your dashboard to follow the Red Power Wire that should be running along side the floor board as described above. dont place your radio back into the dash as of yet, just in case you have to change something around.  2nd way is if you have a factory radio. more than likely it doesnt have RCA connections so dont bother taking out the radio from your dash.  What you will need is a

Line Converter---

with this what you do is splice the wires that go to your 6/9's, 5/7's or what ever you have in your trunk.Get some extra speaker wire and splice with the wire that go to your 6/9's, reconnect it back to your 6/9.   This line converter has 2 sets of positive and negative wires that you will connect the spliced wire to, your do one for the left side. and take your other 6/9 and splice the wire the same way you did the other one and connect them together. and of course make sure you have the connections covered with wire caps or electrial tape.. This will give you the output for sound to go to your RCA Cables.  So later you will connect the RCA cables to the red and black connections you see in the picture and the other end of the RCA cables go to the inputs to your Amp.REMEMBER This way is used if you have a factory radio and dont wont to replace it.. And also note that the line converter and RCA Cables should be in your trunk.

Next step will be running the Remote wire. Which will be the (usally blue in color) slim wire in your Amp Wiring Kit. it is about the same lenth as your RCA Cables that came in your Amp Kit. The Remote Wire is used to Cut the Amp Off when your Radio is Turned Off.. If you used step one above and connected your RCA Cables to your Radio then you will also be connecting the remote wire you the Radio as well. You will need to check your users manual for your radio to make sure you know which wire is the Remote wire, Usually the Remote wire is Blue on the Back of your Radio as well but sometimes not. and it may be labled as the Remote Wire. But make Absolutly sure first... anyway once you have connected the remote wire to the back of your radio and properly covered the connection with again, Electrial tape or with a Wire Connector, you will run this wire under your dash along side your RCA Cables. To again meet up with Your Red Power wire that is running from your battery. tucked underneath the panalling that you have taking up right inside your door or doors. and running all this wiring to your trunk or where ever your going to have your amp mounted..

If you are using a factory radio you will have to run this remote wire to your fuse box.. I usually use the Radio Fuse. what you wont to do is, pull your Radio Fuse out of place. And with the remote wire.. have enough wire striped so you can wrap it around one prong of the fuse only once.(or you wont be able to get the fuse back in place properly.)and then place the fuse back in its place.make sure no wire from your remoter wire is touching any other fuses. Run the Remote wire along side the Red Power Wire coming from your Battery. to go to your trunk.

Next you will find a place to bolt your Ground Wire that also is in your Amp Kit. It is about 3-4 Feet long.  What you need to do is find a Solid Metal surface in your truck.   Prefably with a thick bolt that you can unscrew. If not, you will have to do this yourself with a drill. and may have to go to a Hardware Store and buy a Bolt. About 1/2 inch bolt will do. but make sure its thick For Example. at least the roundness of a pencil. may just a little thicker..(and again, make sure you dont drill a hole anywhere in your trunk that is will puncture something, and make sure you dont drill into your gas tank. Once you have drilled a proper size hole.( a little less in size as the bolt) then, strip some wire off of your Ground wire. In your amp kit. should be some connectors.  Find the one that have a Black Covering on it, There should be 2, one red and one black, The top will be round and closed, but a opening where you can put the bolt thru... You will need to crimp this to one side of the Ground wire. On the other end you the Ground wire you need to Crimp a Connector that is U shaped that should be included in your Amp Kit. This will be connected to the ground Terminal on your Amp later.Make sure you have striped some wire first. once you crimp this connector to the Ground wire. mount it to the place where you choose to mount the ground wire with the bolt..STILL DONOT CONNECT ANY THING TO YOUR AMP.....

Ok, so now every thing should be in place in your trunk. lets check the list

1. Red Power Wire

2. RCA Cables

3 Remote Wire

4.Ground Wire

5.Line Coverter(if needed)

not much for all the work is it...

Ok now find a place where you wont to mount your Amp.. My advise is to the back of your speaker Box.. but if you dont want it there, mount it to a place that you will have access to connect the Wiring...

Make sure for all the steps below, your Car ignition is in the off position!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, go back to the front of the car. under your hood. connect your Red Power wire.(unless its a different color.) to the Battery Terminal or the battery post if you have to.. there should have been a Red connector the same as the black one you used for your Ground wire in your trunk.. Use this Red Connector to connect the Power wire to your Battery Terminal.. Strip a small amount of wire off of the power wire and crimp the connector to the power wire and connect it to the battery terminal. Then attach the battery terminal back to your battery. now you have power back to your car... Caution!!!!! This power wire is now  "live"..    Once you've done this your through under the hood.

Next if you havent done so already you need to plug your RCA Connections to the back of your Radio unless you have a Factory Radio in that case connect the RCA connections to the Line Converter.

Also if you have'nt already connect the remote wire to the proper remote wire from your Radio unless you have to connect it to a fuse in the fuse box panel..

Then go back to your trunk.. once you have your Amp mounted Properly to the place you want it, First connect the Ground Wire to your Amp..

Then Connect the RED Power Wire from your battery..(The end of the Power Wire that is in your truck to connect to the Amp should have a U shaped terminal crimped on as Well.Same as the ground wire)

Then connect the RCA Cables to the input on your Amp.. match the colors.. Red to Red and White to White.(remember, if they are a different color. RED should always be there. so use process of elimination.

Next, connect the Remote Wire to the amp.(also should have a U shaped connector crimped at the end to connect to the Amp)

The finally connect your speakers(Subwoofer)s     speaker wire that is coming from your speakers.. to your Amp.. of course the positive to the positive terminal on your Amp. and Negative from your speaker, to the negative terminal on your Amp. If you have a Four Channel Amp. Check Owners Manual if you want to Bridge your speakers if you have only 2  speakers(subwoofer)s   to connect to your Amp.

Now you can go Turn the ignition on and Turn on your car radio and you should be ready to GO!!!!!
