There are no bonds stronger than those between family members. Capture those special family  moments for the whole family to see with a new digital camcorder. I know I was surprised at how inexpensive they are today. Still pictures are very nice, and I'm not trying to take away from that. Use your digital camera and take plenty of still shots. Tody's model may even combine the two functions, being both a camera and a camcorder. Still nothing is better than an action shot with sound. Over the years you will be documenting your family's history. Not just your immediate family but include all the aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents etc. Take your camcorder to all family functions. Think of all the possibilities, family reunions, birthday parties, Thanksgiving, Christmas, weddings, vacations, school plays, graduations, baptisms etc. that your family gathers for. These are special moments that you will treasure for a lifetime. Be sure to document the growth of your own children. Make sure that the people are identified. A simple this is Aunt Jane and this is Uncle Bill and here is Amy at her 5th birthday party. Transfer all these moments to your computer, so they can be shared with the whole family. This is an important step should some natural disaster claim your home. As your family grows, and the inevitable happens and certain family members are no longer with you, these movies will become priceless. So relive all those good times, remember the departed, watch the kids grow all in the comfort of your home. Invest today in a modern digital camcorder. Before purchasing, be sure to read up on all the new technology available. Decide what features you want. Like anything else the more features the more expensive it is. Get one that meets your needs and pocketbook. Maybe you want to start out with something basic. Once you get the hang of it you will have a better understanding of what features you want. Then you can sell it on Ebay and upgrade to something better. Camcorders make great Christmas gifts also.
