I have been photographing jewelry for about 9 years now. I have had some of the most basic and most advanced cameras out there.

The results are simple and concise, canon is the best for jewelry photography.

The most recent one I have purchased was the canon SD 800 IS which has the new face recognition and IS (image stabilization). It's cool, simple and a very powerful 7.1 MP camera for cheeeeeep.

One more thing, please note that canon also makes cheap cameras, so don't waste any money or time on any of the A series or S series. Only the SD are the best all around cameras unless you want to shell big $$ for the canon digital SLRs.
