Candlewick Punch Bowl Sets:

A Candlewick Punchbowl Set should include a large, round tray which goes under the punchbowl, at least 12 cups, a large curved punch bowl, and an original Candlewick punch bowl ladle, in order to be a complete set. The set should be in good condition with no cracks or chips. You may expect to pay approximately $150 - $175 for a complete set. There are  imitation Candlewick punch bowls sets available, and they are still being called "Candlewick", while they are in reality "Boopie Glass" or some other make. Be sure you confirm that the pieces you are buying are original Candlewick and not an imitation. Make sure every piece includes the small round globes around the edges; the bowl should be rimmed with them, the cups should have them on the handles only, and the round platter should also be edged with them. The ladle may not have the small glass globes.

Indiana Harvest Grape and Cable Punch Bowls Sets:

Beware! There are Anchor Hocking imitations to this punch bowl set and they are irridescent, however, there is an easy way to tell them apart. An original Indiana Harvest Punch Bowl Set will be thick and NOT transparent. A complete set should include at least 12 footed cups (non-footed cups should be a warning that it is probably Anchor Hocking rather than Indiana Harvest). There should be a metal stand for the original punch bowl which is normally made of a brass-like metal. It is common for the base to be a bit rusted or discolored. A white milk glass ladle with a silver or gold colored handle should accompany an original set. Some sets are available with 24 footed cups and 24 small milk glass snack trays as well. You can expect to pay about $100 for an original set, and about $200 for the set with 24 cups and snack trays.

If either of these items are something you are extremely interested in, then set your maximum bids a little higher, but do not over pay for this merchandise.
