Wedding centerpieces usually bring together a large arrangement of flowers, plants, fruit and especially candles, located on the reception table. They may also use paper mache boxes, wood pieces, florist foam and clay pots. Unusual items that add humor or special objects that remind people of the wedding couple are an excellent way to add meaningful character to a centerpiece.
As far as the components of centerpieces are concerned, many people believe the more the merrier. That definitely sets the tone for a grand event, yet it is a creative act of arrangement to make all of these items work together!
Centerpiece Candles
Centerpiece candles can be composed of round or square pillar candles, glass jar candles and often a couple of tapers. They can even use floating candles held by an elaborate candelabra, or be placed on top of a base of any material small enough to be fit under a cloth such as desert dishes. This way, the candles can be set at different levels to produce a more harmonious effect. You can sprinkle metallic glitter on them to give a sparkling effect.
Should you try to make your own wedding candles and centerpieces? Well, consider the cost of a wedding and you have your answer. This is an excellent way to really enhance a wedding and help minimize costs. Candles are relatively inexpensive and there is something timeless about a burning flame at a ceremony.
The only thing that can upstage wedding centerpieces are wedding cakes.
