There is a surprisingly high level of interest in having a Christmas wedding. Christmas is a special time and has its own air of excitement and happiness. But bringing together two special events in the same time period requires some special planning skill. First and foremost, will people be able to attend during the holiday season, when many are busy buying Christmas gifts and Christmas dinner preparations?
Christmas weddings held at special locations or resorts can be a wonderful way to bring people together. Family and friends can get away from their routines and relax in a comfortable setting that may have recreational and sporting activities as well. Resorts in particular may have all the necessary staff and facilities to handle a well managed and successful wedding. The word "holiday" is often paramount in Christmas weddings.
The Christmas and winter theme can be well used in Christmas weddings and will be used in everything from the wedding invitations to the wedding dinner table place settings. White and red may find their way into the bridal color theme along with the green of pine needles and mistletoe. Christmas tree ornaments such as glass balls, bells and snowflakes may be put to good use. Flower girls and page boys may find themselves with elf-like outfits as Santa's little helpers.
Candles play a big role in both in both weddings and Christmas
decorations. You may want to use handmade candles that incorporate
wedding and Christmas themes. That can be an interesting combination,
which you are very unlikely to find in a store.
