This is a warning to all Canadian eBayers, and international sellers should take note too: DO NOT use UPS (United Parcel Service) for your international transactions! UPS charges the most absurdly ludicrous brokerage fees of any of the express mail carriers, and here's an example: I just purchased a pair of sunglasses for $25 (May 2007), and when UPS showed up at my door to deliver, the brokerage fee was $18.46 plus taxes for a total of $23.23, effectively doubling the cost of my item!!! If it had not been a gift for someone else, there is no way I would have paid. But I did ask the courrier to explain the fees, and he stated that it depends on the size and weight of the parcel, because it reduces how much space they have to carry other parcels in their trucks & planes. Well, I'm sorry, but I cannot fathom how a pair of sunglasses in a little 6" x 6" box is going to take up all of their space. The fact is, they are overcharging and making a fat profit off of you, and it is unethical!
