For many years Garrett Brown has lead the industry in Camera stabilizer development.

Over the years other companies have begun producing camera stabilization systems.

With the advent of these new systems coming to market making a sound choice in stabilizer investments

has become a cerful decision which requires a tremendous amount of research.

Stablizers are an expensive investment for anyone interested in putting this technology to use in production.

After reviewing a number of stabilizer systems I decided that it would be important to let you

know what I have discovered about the different manufacturers and how you should approach the

challenge of finding and making the right investment in a camera stabilization system.

Cinema products was the original company founded by Garrett Brown. This company sold

the very first camera stabilizers. Tiffen then purchased the company and has since been selling these

camera stabilizers successfully for many years.

A small company by the name of Glidecam Industries was then founded in the early 90's.

Their primary line of business was building and selling stabilizers.

Since then many other companies have begun production on a large number of camera stabilization

systems and have successfully brought them to market.

Machining, engineering, know how, and innovation has since led the way in making camera

stabilization advances.

If you are considering the possibility of investing a camera stabilizer here are some important

points to consider.

- The weight of your camera.

- Will the stabilizer support your cameras weight?

- What materials are the stabilizer made of?

-  Does the company have a good reputation?

- Are the components of the stabilization system you are considering precision machined?

-  Is the price of the stabilizer system appropriate in terms of performance and quality?

- What do you know about these systems? Have you done any research?

- Are you prepared to spend time practicing with the stabilizer?

- Are you aware that you must practice for many hours to get the most out of one of these systems?

- Stabilizers are made up of three important components, Vest, Support Arm and Sled.

- If the stabilizer you are considering is under engineered or lacks quality machining you risk injury or expensive equipment damage.

- Affordability and quality costruction are a difficult combination to find in  stabilizer.

- Both Tiffen and Glidecam are the leading North American purveyors of quality stabilizers.

-  For affordability construction quality and performance Glidecam Industries is by far the best choice for most consumers and professionals alike.

I hope you found this information helpful and I have helped to educate you at least a little in terms of searching for a good quality

and affordable stabilizer solution.
