CUT & PASTE
I noticed several people question me about computer lingo
I thought it was well known the phrase cut & paste but i guess there are a lot of people who are sort of new to the computer experience and many 0 feedback buyers on ebay are unfamiliar with how to search for things quickly
Basically, I had a customer ask me a question about a certain item through an auction I had posted live for an example lets say the item was A lot of 3 items: An EMILY THE STRANGE PLUSH KITTY named Miles and BEEZLE & BUB plush, 2 other very large items. All three being plushes.
they wanted to get the BEEZLE & BUB but did not want the EMILY THE STRANGE MILES.
So i wrote them back and said here is the Auction number to the BEEZLE & BUB
ITEM # 110020435761
I told them to cut and paste the number and they wrote me back and said "WHATS THAT, I DON'T UNDERSTAND?"
Basically CUT & PASTE is computer Lingo for using your mouse to save a phrase word or paragraph to a temporary memory location on your computer, essentially you capture or copy the word, phrase or paragraph and move it to plug it, into a search bar or box.
On ebay the search bar is located in the upper right hand corner of your eBay screen.
How to copy: first take the mouse cursor and put it at the beginning or end of a word by moving the mouse then clicking the left mouse button, then hold the mouse button down while you drag it over the word, phrase, number or paragraph. When the word or number is highlighted take you finger off the left mouse button and click the right mouse button. when you do that a menu will appear and you choose the word Copy from the menu and click on the right button of the mouse.
Now you have captured the word , number paragraph and phrase and saved it to a temporary memory location.
now all you have to do is put the mouse cursor in the search bar in the upper right hand corner of the eBay screen and click the mouse right button then when the menu pops up to the side choose the word paste and it will magically paste the word, number or phrase to the search bar, now you can search for that particular item number.
i had forgotten that many people are not computer savoy on something i would consider rather common knowledge. or atleast very basic.
the term CUT & PASTE.
