I have seen an increasing number of listings for what sellers term as "custom" t-shirts/tote bags/sweatshirts featuring graphics in the 8.5x11, 11x14 or 11x17 formats. Please understand that the majority of the logos on these shirts are printed on clay coated plain paper which is run thru an ordinary inkjet printer, which is in turn applied either with an ordinary household iron or professional heat press. This technique should be considered temporary as the ink will start to fade with the first wash and the design may start to crack/peel after several washings. Before buying a custom shirt, contact the seller to see how they apply the design to the garment. Silkscreening and sublimation are the preferred methods for anything that you want to last for more than a few washings.
