TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,
I just wanted to take a minute to talk about the fake shoe selling opperation going on with sellers on e-bay,NOT ALL but almost all of the sellers selling shoes on e-bay are selling FAKE, or COUNTERFEIT shoes, such as NIKE AIR JORDANS, AIRMAX, DUNKS,AIRFORCE 1, and many more. I ,as a collector have become an expert on the shoes and can spot many fakes just in a picture (if picture is clear and shows good detail). These sellers are making a killing off of unsuspecting e-bayers who dont exactly know the quality of the (authentic) product. I see many people on here winning auctions for these shoes and then leaving GREAT feadback for the fraudulent seller, and I hate to see these people getting praised and comended for items that are NOT truely worthy of the positive feedback, its just that the buyer doesnt have a clue that they are getting ripped off because the product may be a pretty good resembling immitation. but surely these buyers wouldnt be paying hundreds of dollars per pair of shoes if they thought they were anything less than authentic. I personally have been defrauded into believing what im bidding on is "real", because the seller is using pictures of "real" products for their auctions, but SEND the counterfeit item, its then you realize you've been duped. It is very important to ask the seller questions such as "is the item authentic" or "was the item accually made by the importicular brand manufacturer, such as NIKE". It's also important to save the e-mails of their responses so that if you get the item home and realize you've been had, you will at least have the e-mails on your side as proof of fraud if you need to make a complaint to e-bay. If the seller is found to be at fault in defrauding bidders of his auction, he may be subject to account restrictions, suspensions, or his account terminated all together. I have even went as far as to contact the manufacturer and tell them of the e-bay seller who is selling counterfeit items of their products along with the item numbers for quick reference to the item and seller. Most of the manufacturers have an "about me" page on e-bay and are already looking for such fraudulent auctions that may be infringing on their copyrights and trademarks, and probobly welcome any tips you may have to offer. It is my idea that i would like to use e-bay as a place to look for items that i want, and bid with confidence that i am not getting scammed in some way, shape or form. Myself, as with most other e-bayers, spend alot of money here and shouldnt have to worry about weather or not we will get what we paid for. But unfortunately, because of these fraudulent sellers, we all have to be very carefull about what we bid on.........
