- The real dress has an authentic Lilly Pulitzer hang tag
. The fake one does not have any tags. It can be described as NWOT or new without tags.
- Both dresses are made with the exact same fabric called Hamptons Blue Whale of a Time and both are fully lined, although the lining on the fake dress is a lighter weight fabric and does not have the same body as the lining in the real Lilly dress.
- Both dresses have the exact same satin straps to hold your bra in place .
- The real dress has an invisible ykk zipper
in coordinating color; the counterfeit dress has a hidden zipper, which has a flap covering the zipper. It is a contrasting white.

- The real dress has an adorable white lace trim
. The fake one has white piping. 
. The tricky part is that some authentic Krista dresses DO have either coordinating or contrasting piping.
- The real dress has authentic Lilly Pulitzer white hem lace
. The fake one does not have any have any lace.
