Connecting to your DAQstuff can be easy if you have the correct cables and screw terminal breakouts. Low Noise Shielding and grounding will also be reviewed
Determine the connector type and gender that is on the Daq card that you are connecting to....
- Common NI DAQ Card connectors are :
- DB9 male serial port
- DB25 male & female
- DB37 female DAQ card
- 50 pin male Daq card 2x25 .1spacing known as SCSI 1
- MD68 male Daq card .050 spacing SCSI II
- VHDCI 68 female Daq card .8mm spacing SCSI IV
- MD100 Female Daq Card .050 spacing SCSI III

Determine the length required.
Determine if you need a cable and screw terminal or just a plugin breakout for connecting a few wires...We also create custom pcbs for applications that require more than our standard screw terminal breakouts. Plugin breadboard adapters can be used to connect your DAQ card to a custom interface that you have prototyped. Connect 2 solderless breadboard together and plug the 50 pin or 68 pin adapter into the center for easy access to all pins.
Go to our Store and look at the connector catagory that you have picked and start designing your Daq Connection System.
For Low Noise Shielding
There are 4 screw terminals marked Earth GND on the 68 pin and 37 pin screw terminal breakouts......Connect up to 3 of your shielded cable gnds to these terminals. Connect a heavy wire from the fourth terminal to chassis ground of the daq card or computer. You have 3 types of grounds....Analog....Data....Earth/shielding. Keep all of them seperate and isolated from each other.
We hope this helps make your DAQ job a little easier
